The Jedi Code

There is no emotion, there is peace.

There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

There is no passion, there is serenity.

There is no chaos, there is harmony.

There is no death, there is the Force.

This is the Jedi Code. It's simple, but it's hard to live by. That's what it means to be a Jedi: less words, more meaning. You can be a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master but it's hard to live with that.

The Jedi code tells us what should be, not what is. There is so much chaos and destruction in the world, but it must be surrounded by peace and tranquility. We are balancers, but we have no influence outside of our own lives.

We can only achieve things like peace for ourselves, and we can try to teach this to our students. We are not superheroes, we cannot change the world. We are Jedi, a philosophical community seeking to bring balance to the force in our lives.
